Now lets get into this wedding cake! The cake is our Signature Passion Fruit Poppy Seed cake with Fresh Strawberries and Mango filling. The couple wanted a non-tradition single tiered cake for cutting, and that is what we made. We carved the cake into a hexagon shape to give it a more modern visual appeal. Then we covered the cake in Swiss meringue butter cream and decorated it with panels of marbled sugar fondant. Rogue and Fox Florals provided us with fresh flowers to take it over the top!
We also provide additional desserts: French Macarons and mini cupcakes

Ceclia’s 5th Birthday Fiesta
Mwokaji Cakery was so humbled to provide this beautiful soul with a birthday cake for her 5th birthday fiesta. Ceclia is the daughter of Carlos and Brenda of Carlos and Brenda Photography in Whittier, CA. www.CarlosandBrenda.com .. They specialize in capturing the most beautiful family portraits, maternity shoots and newborn photos. This family is a blessing and joy to know.
We created a two - tier fiesta themed cake with a rustic buttercream inspired by the mesa style homes of the Southwest. The cake is decorated with multi-colored pastel fiesta flags made of fondant and fondant cacti. We made mini cactus blooms using buttercream, and also applied mini succulents near the base of the cake of buttercream and added a bit of graham cracker crumbs for sand to re-enforce the Southwestern elements.
We also provided a small individual cake for Cecelia herself to enjoy. It is frosted in a rustic buttercream, with fiesta sprinkles at the base and our pastel fondant fiesta flags at the the top.

I first met Josh + Jackie at our cake tasting. Their energy was so great, Josh’s sense of humor and Jackie’s poise and charm were instantly enthralling.
Their wedding planner Jennifer Toth Clary owner of Burlap and Rose, not only coordinated the other vendors and the wedding progression. She also provided and styled the florals for this very trendy and glam wedding.
At Josh + Jackie’s cake tasting, they sampled chocolate chip cake, rainbow sprinkle, and dark chocolate cake . They also tasted the mango mousse filling, strawberry filling, and vanilla. Josh’s favorite cake is chocolate but my rainbow cake with strawberry filling really wowed them and that’s what they chose for their wedding cake.
